TOC INDIANA SESSION 1

2020 Roses Announcement

Dear Coaches, Administrators, Parents, Players and Fans:

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee yesterday signed an executive order extending the state’s orders till August 29th.  The orders include a limitation/ban on contact sports being played in a game setting and only allows for team training for basketball and any other contact sport.  We have been led to believe for the past 6 weeks that these orders on July 1st were going to ALLOW contact sports and basketball to play games in the state of Tennessee.

“Limit contact sports with a requirement or substantial likelihood of routine close contact.”

  • This does not apply to collegiate or professional sports conducted under the rules or guidelines of their respective governing bodies and does not prohibit training or otherwise practicing the elements of such sports that do not involve close contact with persons;

The 2020 Run 4 Roses will be postponed until September 5-7, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana at Indianapolis Convention Center.  We will be back to Under 1 Roof Basketball in downtown Indianapolis.

SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES

  • The Indianapolis Convention center will have 24 Courts. Each hall will include 2  courts to allow for maximum social distancing. We will be tracking the total number of attendees entering and exiting each hall to ensure that we do not go over 250 people at a time which is mandated by the state of Indiana.

  • 2 games will be played at a time in each hall. An average game host around 50 overall attendees, this will help keep us well below the state guidelines.

  • Entrance and Exits will be clearly marked for each Hall.

  • 2 Rows of Chair seating on both sides of each court, each chair at least 6 feet from the next chair.   By eliminating courts within the footprint, we will open up many more seating options that can be spread out and fall within social distancing guidelines.

  • Ample hand sanitizers available throughout the event areas entrances and exits.

  • All Entrants will enter through a set of doors and then exit through a completely different set of doors.  Each individual hall (A-K) will have this capacity of separate entrance and exits.
